About ElfNights
ElfNights is a small, independent website that helps parents and teachers come up with elf ideas night after night in December. It was built in October 2026 by ZhanWei He, who also runs a couple of other small holiday tools on alexai.top.
What's here
- A free elf idea generator that runs in your browser from a hand-written database of 172 ideas.
- A 24-day planner with a printable calendar and calendar (.ics) export.
- Free printable letters and notes you can personalize without signing up.
How the ideas are written
Every idea is original and written by us with real setup steps, an honest time estimate, a mess rating and the props needed. We favor things families already own, flag choking hazards (no small candy on the toddler page), avoid ideas that waste food or damage things, and never use official characters, artwork or logos. We don't use AI image generation on this site.
Not official
Not affiliated with or endorsed by The Lumistella Company or Elf on the Shelf. ElfNights is an unofficial fan resource. "The Elf on the Shelf" is a trademark of its owner and is used here only to describe the popular holiday tradition. We don't sell elves or offer an elf name generator; if you want official products, visit the official website.
How the site is funded
The site shows ads from Google AdSense and includes Amazon search links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This never costs you anything extra and doesn't change which ideas we recommend (most ideas need no shopping at all).
